Switzerland

Ingenbohl I, located on Lake Lucerne and nestled in the mountainous landscape of central Switzerland, is one of the first large-scale battery storage projects of its kind in the region. With a capacity of 20 MW, the plant can supply electricity to several thousand households at short notice and makes an active contribution to stabilizing the Swiss grid. The project marks the operational starting point of a long-term storage strategy and demonstrates how modern infrastructure can be precisely integrated into existing grid structures without dominating the landscape.
